How do you make the best possible use of your ‘alone time’?
I say this because it seems to be something that is always on the back-burner for me, where I have hazy ideas of personal things I want to achieve and how I want to spend that time, but it never seems to happen. I get plenty of time…
I guess for me I have the same issue, I have so many different projects going on at once that it’s hard to just choose one project to focus my energy on. That’s why I have so many notebooks and so many lists, everywhere.
I do find it easiest to be most creative at night though. Headphones on, listening to music, no external distractions. Writing, Drawing or just planning out ideas. In the day I feel like there is something more important that I should be doing something that easily distracts you. I guess that’s why the idea of renting a cabin and hiding away while working away on projects with a bottle of alcohol and a roaring fire also speaks to me.
As for meditating I find I only tend to do it now when i’m desperate for sleep and need to be up in a few hours and have tried everything else, It is one of those things that takes some practise, if you keep returning to focusing on clear thoughts after every time your thoughts get distracted you find it gets easier and easier.
As for people who seem like they have all their lives together in perfect routine, I do have a friend who runs a fitness/well being/lifestyle blog who sounds exactly like that. instagram.com/healthylittlehippie
